This is a partition created automatically when you install an operating system in any UEFI boot mode but In case of Hackintosh, It is not created because you are installing Mac on non-Apple hardware. UEFI requires the firmware and operating system loader (or kernel) to be size-matched for example, a 64-bit UEFI firmware implementation can load only a 64-bit operating system (OS) boot loader or kernel. The EFI system partition (ESP) is a partition on a data storage device (usually a hard disk drive(HDD) or solid-state drive(SSD) that is used by computers adhering to the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI).
